The Planning Commission of Greenwood Township, Oceana County will hold a Public Hearing to present proposed changes to the zoning ordinance. The Greenwood Township Regular Board, during its Regular Meeting to be held on December 12, 2022, at 7:00 PM, will be sharing information and receiving comments concerning the application for Michigan Sparks Grant.

Projects to be included in the grant application will include: Taylor Bridge Landing/Park Improvement, Acker Lake Township Access Site/Boat Launch, and Greenwood Township Cemetery Memorial

TRUTH IN BUDGETING / TRUTH IN TAXATION

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON INCREASING PROPERTY TAXES AND ON THE PROPOSED BUDGET FOR FYE 3/31/23

The Greenwood Township Truth in Budgeting Public Hearing will be held during a Special Meeting of the Greenwood Township Board on 3/14/2022 at 6:30 PM in person at the Greenwood Township Hall located at 5589 S. 200th Ave., Hesperia.

The Greenwood Township Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed township budget for fiscal year ending March 31, 2023 during the hearing. The property tax millage rate of 1.2168 mills for Operations, plus .9719 mills for Fire Protection Services, as reduced as statutorily required, proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget, will be a subject of this hearing. A copy of the budget is available for public inspection at the Greenwood Township Hall by contacting the Clerk at 231-286-3651. Comments at the hearing may include those submitted by email to the township at greenwoodtwp@ncats.net, by mail to PO Box 358, Hesperia, or in writing and dropped off in the secure box at the Township Hall.
